Eligibility
The Gilliam Family Foundation awards grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky regions. We accept applications for grants in six (6) areas: The Arts, Health and Wellness, Environmental Stewardship, Economic Development, Community Development, and Education.
The Application process begins by completing the Contact form below. Once we receive your application request, we will email you further directions. Please be prepared to provide the following information to have your grant request considered.
- Profile of your organization, including your mission statement, contact information, and 501(c)(3) information,
- Description of your funding request, including the amount requested,
- Explanation of how your work relates to the Foundation’s focus areas,
- Operating and/or program budgets,
- Goals, milestones, and timelines, where applicable.
Reviews & Approvals
We accept applications throughout the year.
Applications are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors each November.
Applicants will receive notification of their grant status by email by early December.
